The UNhappy birthday (for the animals...)

One day, me and Sariah were watching Good Things Utah and one of the segments was from Thanksgiving point announcing that it was the Baby Animal's birthday party. Well Sariah was actually listening and got a little bit excited as in she was jumping up and down and screaming. To make it worse, They were each holding a baby animal- a duck, a chick, a goat and a bunny. Sariah just kept saying how she was so excited to hold the baby duck and sing Happy Birthday to it so of course I had to make it happen. I told Rustin and he called his family and I called mine and it was planned. Now my job was getting off work... Well Heaven was on my side and I got Saturday night off (not Friday night mind you). So we went and FROZE to death and tried to have a blast. Well first off Good Things Utah needs to work on their honesty in advertising because like my other sis-n-law said the kids got to pet the baby animals through CAGES!!! So Sariah I think wasn't very disappointed because she was having fun with all her cousins. But mom was very dissapointed. No Birthday cake, no singing and no baby animal holding (secretly I was excited to hold the pickin baby duck too..) But here are the pics. I don't know how to do all the pictures on this post so I have to do another one but you'll get the point. Well after that long boring explanation here we go!

Here is Sariah touching a Llama. I don't think she was really sure about it, but she was brave.

Okay I lied we did get to hold one animal, this cute little LADYBUG, notice me and Sariah's cute matching sweaters AWWW...

This is Grandpa Nielsen showing Kempton the cow. Kempton wasn't scared of anything he always wanted to grab them. It was way cute.

This was Kempton's main mode of transportation. He sat in there and let us just stroll him along. Isn't he so cute?????

Okay, I think this picture made the whole trip worth it. Sariah actually looks like she loves him or something. Is it obvious I love my cute family or what? I'm a bit sentimental lately.

Field Family said...: Sarah your little family is way cute. Sariah is so cute and Kempton is such a good kid and cute too. You are blessed to have good kids. Well I should say from what I see. Because Abby looks like she is a quite little monkey nope not when it's just Rob and I. In fact the other day Rob asked me if she always talks this much and I told him yes for me she does.

From the mouth of a Child...

I love when I read the funny things kids say on other people's blogs so I thought write a couple of my adventures:

Bubba is a little obsessed with Mindcraft lately...Bubba is telling me all about a spider he built and said, "Guess what he eats mom." I said bugs, to which he replied. "Nope" and I said"Well what does he eat then?" and he cutely says: "I can't believe I am saying this, but Gorilla meat."

The other night Bubba got out of the tub. He would not get dressed. As he was running around naked, I said, "bubba, you see this hand?" It would make a really nice red mark on that bum of yours...He responds, "Go ahead and do it mom!" As I went towards him to "do it," he starts yelling "no mom!! No Mom!! I meant it metaphorically."

Rustin told Bubba: Hey C'mon I'll put on some cartoons for you

After rustin leaves, Bubba: "Mom, it's not cartoons, it's grown up shows that are violent for kids."

Bubba: Mom, Mrs. Smith read us the best book in library today. It's called 'Witch, Witch come to my party,' The Illustrator did a really great job!"

Bubba was telling me about a new friend he made at school and out of nowhere he says, "and mom...he doesn't even use cigarettes!" Cute.

Bubba: Mom what are you afraid of?

Me: I don't know, I guess being in front of other people...

Bubba: Why because you are wearing shorts and your legs are extra hairy?

Me: (I cannot stop laughing!)

We were driving to a yard sale and I was listening to the GPS. She (the GPS) kept saying, "recalculating" over and over and I started to get frustrated.....Sariah then says: "Mom ,I bet she is FOR SURE not married!!!!"

Bubba: "Mom do you know what a mummy is?

Me: No

Bubba: It's just a zombie wrapped in toilet paper!!

Sariah was bawling and bawling about a new recipe I tried. She was saying how horrible and disgusting it is. When she FINALLY took a bite of it, she looks up at me and says, "I hate when that happens!" (She ate 3 more bowls of it!)

Bubba's teacher told me:

When the kids leave school they have to give their teacher a high five and today Bubba's hands were full of his coat and all his creations...

MS. O: Oh Bubba I guess you can't give me a high five today, your hands are too full.

Bubba: Nope I can't give you a high five, but I can give you a hug!!!!

Isn't that so sweet!!!!??!!

I was carrying Bubba down the hall last night and I said, "Bubba did you know that you are very strong?" He responded with: " Well duh mom! I CAN lift a vacuum!!!!"

We were at the store and I told Bubba that acknowledge means to listen. Bubba is yelling at the top of his lungs, "Sariah acknowledge me!!! Sariah acknowledge me!!!"

There were some ants on our porch and bubba says, "Wow there is a whole galaxy of ants out here!"

I was playing a game on the computer and bubba saw a girl on it and said, "mom if she were a fruit snack, I'd eat her!"

Bubba and Sariah found a pair of Bubba's baby socks enter Bubba's comment: "Ohh I had such cute baby feet, I had like 3 toes probably..."

Bubba is holding a water bottle and says, "Mom is water an invisible drink?"

During Sariah's prayer:

Bubba whispers: "Hey Sariah this is a great prayer!"

Bubba's prayer last night:

"and please bless that mom will stop yelling at us and that she will stop saying, "Bubba just go to bed!" (he said it exactly like I do). What a kiddo!!

Right after reading the millionth story...

Sariah: "Mom did you know that there are mom and dads that don't have any kids?

Me: Really?

Sariah: Yeah I saw some, they got to hold hands when they were shopping!!!

There are DI pods at the church....

Me: Okay guys you need to go through your rooms and get all the toys you don't need anymore and put them in a box.

Sariah: Why mom?

Me: Because we can give them to the kids at the DI

Sariah: WHAT! Parents don't want their kids anymore!!!!

Me: Sariah how was school today?

Sariah: thinking a long time.......

Me: Sariah?

Sariah: Mom you know what we need is the "touch & brush" it would really help us with brushing our teeth.

I was at my daughter's school pow-wow and I was in charge of making the little teepees so:

ME: Have any of you guys seen a real live teepee?

Little boy: I saw one at Mt. Rushmore

ME: Oh wow! Lucky you

Another cute little girl: My mom said that I saw a real teepee when we lived in Yellowstone

ME: Oh you would see teepees there for sure!

Girl: I know, when we lived in Yellowstone....oh maybe it wasn't Yellowstone......oh it was West Jordan.

ME: okay.

Yesterday Bubba woke up from his nap crying enter this conversation:

Sariah: Mom why is he crying? Oh wait I know he probably had a bad dream about hogs...

Me: Hogs?

Sariah: Yeah you know those hogs like at Cabelas what was it called?

Me: Warthog?

Sariah: Yeah the warthog, he probably dreamed that they were eating cute pink pigs...

Me: I'm sure that was it.

Sariah was pretty mad at me and yelled: "Mom if you were a witch I'd throw water on you!!" Yeah it hurt a little, but you gotta give her points for creativity!!!

We were looking at pictures and there was a picture of a pregnant lady's stomach and Sariah asked, "Mom why is that girl only wearing a belly button?"

Sariah: Mom what does "hit the hay" mean?

Me: It means to go to bed

Sariah: Oh, so does that mean when we are awake we hit the horse?

We were driving down to St. George and Rustin was looking out the window and said, "That has to be the coolest dirt in the whole wide world!!" I quickly agreed, I am getting used to being married to a biology/agriculture major :)

Today I was eating some noodles and broccoli and Sariah came up and looked at it and said, "Mom did those use to be trees that they cut before they let them grow?"

Today Bubba wrapped his shirt around his neck and said: "Look mom I'm a snowman!!"

I was watching Biggest loser and I was cheering on Philipe during their challenge and Sariah wanted Tara to win. Well Tara did win. I was doing laundry and Sariah came by and I told her that I was sad that Philipe lost and she said: "Why because he's a good fellow??" I was laughing so hard! Where did she hear the word 'fellow' from??

We had family come down for bubba's birthday and one of them was a 6 week old baby. Sariah told me that she loved babies and I told her I did to. I told her that we weren't going to have anymore babies at our house, she replied: Well than I guess we'll just have to keep Bubba!

The other day me and Sariah were coloring and sariah wanted to know what color to color the hair of her guy. She then asked me what color of hair Rustin had and I told her nicely that he doesn't have hair and that he is bald. Sariah started looking through the crayons and frustrated she asked me, "Mom!! where is the color bald??"

Bubba was eating a Cadbury egg (love them) and he bit the top off and he said, "Hey a baby is comin' out!!"

Sariah: Mom I know how to spell Sarah!: "M-O-M"

I asked Sariah if Bubba's diaper was poopy. She took a sniff and said: "OOh gross it smells like a swimming pond!"

ME: Sariah have you ever thought about what you wanna be when you grow up?

HER: Yeah mom, I'm gonna be a kangaroo remember!?

Bubba got his leg stuck behind the couch and I pulled him out and he started crying and Sariah says, "Oh no! We have to take him to the bone dentist!!"

A couple weeks ago Rustin sold one of his guns on KSL. Sariah saw us taking pictures and wanted to sell some of her toys. Ever since then whenever she won't clean up her toys I tell her I'm going to sell them. This was our conversation today...

HER: "Mom I need to change my underwear, these ones are too fall-y downy."

ME: Okay that's fine, I don't care.

(After taking them off and leaving them on the bathroom floor)

HER: "Mom you can go ahead and sale those ones to another little girl."

ME: I am laughing so hard especially when I pick them up and see a lovely skid mark-any bidders?

I told Sariah that someone I know broke up with her boyfriend. (enter-confused face)

HER: Mom, How did she break him?
