An Indestructible Day...

Saturday the 9th was the Race for the Cure day. It was quite a day, as in quite an emotional day! I was doing good until my aunt started talking about everything I was holding in. The eye faucets opened and I cried a few good tears. Thanks Aunt Ruth it felt good to release a few drops of the ocean I hold in all day...

Here we are after the race, Sariah walked 2 of the 3 miles!! We are wearing our shirts that say, "I'm indestructible remember..." Which is what my mom has said our entire lives whenever anyone thinks she might get hurt or sick. The kids are wearing shirts that say, "My Grandma is indestructible!"
This is the Travis team. We have known each other our whole entire lives. So really this is the Shurvises or the Travtliffs. There really are no words to express what this sweet family means to me and my family so I would like to say something, but like I said, there REALLY are NO words.

This is our family with the Huggins crew. We had some family come all the way from Montana to run the race!! It was so awesome of all of them to run with us!!! There is two people that were not pictured that need to be mentioned. Rustin's sis Tahnee and his cousin Jen-thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!

Here is our entire family!! We use to be a family of 5!!!

This is my AMAZING INDESTRUCTIBLE mother!! She did the entire 3 miles and had chemo 2 days prior. We had an awesome and hard mother's day. It was a very somber day as this whole cancer idea is starting to sink in. I just have to tell everyone who was there that day and those that were thinking of us-Thank you!!

Sarah, I just want to say that I felt so honored to be there and to meet your amazing parents, especially your Mom. She deserves everything that life has to offer her and I think it's great that your whole family came together to walk for her.

Love,
Jenn

Sarah,

Thanks for letting all us non family members go with you guys! I am going to do it every year with you, and next year, we are recruiting my family! It's my mission. THey will love it, they just don't know it yet. If Misty were here, she'd go in a heart beat, she loves this stuff. It was tons of fun, and your Mom and Dad are AWESOME!!! Not surprising you came from them!!! I love you!

That is such a neat experience! I'm glad you were able to have your whole family there to take part in that event! I love you're quotes! I think it makes a huge difference in the attitude they have, and also those around them. We've been there, not that exact cancer, but my dad is in remission and I have a very close aunt who is still fighting! You're amazing Sarah, you're very strong and looks like you have an amazing support system! Our hearts and prayers are with you guys!

Hi! Don't think I'm a freak...Chalise told me you were on her blog so I had to say HI and see whats going on with you! I'm sorry about your mom. You guys look like such a close family. I hope all goes well!
I think I should also take this opportunity to tell you to MOVE UP NORTH! There are seriously no good nurses (so far) up here and I am actually afraid to get pregnant and have a baby up here and be treated badly! I hear horror stories about almost every hospital! :( You are amazing! I was so lucky to have you with my first! :)
Keep up your good work! You are so sweet and cute and your kids are SO adorable!
It's good to "see" you again!
