This is the place...right?

So you will notice that I promised that I would take lots of pictures of our little adventure we went on. 'This is the Place' area in Salt Lake was definitely the place to be on Tuesday!! At least for me, my two kids, my cousins Amy and Racheal with her two kids, my other cousin's two kids, my aunt and my grandmother (Talk about a PAR-TAY!!! whoop whoop). If some of you have no clue what I am talking about, it is the pioneer village across from the animal retirement home (a.k.a. Hogle Zoo). The women and men that run the park are dressed to the max in the latest pioneer fashions... We were there early so we could beat the crowds and beat we did- we had the petting zoo and pony ride all to ourselves (no brag just fact). So, I will attempt to pick apart our day so that you too may feel the same pioneer spirit we felt on that special morn...starting with this very somber picture:

This is Sariah's lovely face when I so gently told her she could not ride the pony again. As you can tell we blended in so well with the giggling, merry pioneer children that were scattered throughout the village...

Sariah has a thing with goats...she loves them and even more she loves to pick them up! She so tenderly lifted every baby goat on the farm. Ryleigh named this goat Oreo...cute huh!

Oh hey, speaking of Ryleigh, here she is! She is super sweet and we feel very lucky we got to hang out with her and Austin (coming soon-he's worth the wait!) because they were visiting from sunny Phoenix, AZ.

I told you he was worth the wait! This is Austin! He is a super sweet kid too. He tried to not smile during this lovely ride around in a circle but I caught a smirk...a very cool gangster smirk. ;)

This is a tough and tootin cowboy named Brantley. Okay I don't know if he was tootin', but I know he was tough because he was scared to death to go on this mighty steed and he ended up riding him twice! This picture is his first time around and his mom, Racheal and his cool Aunt Amy were there to make sure that he stayed in the saddle.

This is him riding solo with his trainer and mom, Racheal.

HOW!!...do you do? I made Sariah take this picture properly so that you know she is now wearing a real...fake arrowhead necklace made by a true girl that was dressed like an indian. It was so cute Austin asked the girl what tribe she was from and she looked at him and said very boringly, "I don't know I'm just an indian!" So know that this is a very educational place where you will be taught that just any indian lived in teepees and leaves for lunch breaks immediately after making necklaces for all the villiage children...

This is the mini train that we rode another train up a giant hill to get to. Not really- we sat at the bottom of the hill and stared at the mini train entrance wondering if that was the treacherous hill the pioneer girl was talking about (didn't these people travel over mountains???). We still rode the train...I think that this picture is super cute because Austin's arm is around Bubba so cute and protective.

This is sweet Brantley on the train. He loved it so much!! He cried a little lot when they had to get off.

This is Bubba and Brantley petting the pigs. Brantly turned to his mother and asked her, "Mom why are they not talking?" I guess we should have told him that Wilbur and Babe were in the pioneer village in Hollywood.

I'm sorry I just think that Bubba and Austin were so cute together. Sariah is just chillin in the back sitting so lady-like in her skirt. I am so glad that I teach my children so much etiquette!

Sitting around looking at the pig sty....I don't think my room ever looked that bad!!

This is a documented picture of RESCUE GOAT OPERATION. This little goat was trying to escape out of the fence so Sariah just swept the goat up in her arms and carried it back to the farm. The goat and the pioneers were very thankful for her generosity.

Sariah and Bubba watching all the other kids ride the ponies. They took on the rodeo first and Glen the pony was not in the mood to ride in it's very routine circle.

Bubba riding his pony!!

Sariah doing what she loves. It overall was a very fun adventure and fun to be with my cousins that I very rarely see. Thanks for inviting us guys. Next time we'll have to go to the saloon (A.K.A ice cream store).

FUN! We have been talking about going there this weekend. I'll have to call you to get the scoop. I died laughing at Sariahs "lady like" picture.
