2. Rustin's ankle... As you know, Rustin hurt his ankle 2 weeks ago. We went to the orthopedic guy in Cedar City and he said it was just a bad sprain and to just try and get off the crutches in the next week and that he'd soon be able to walk around on it. Well Rustin got really excited because the ER doc made it sound like we were going there to sign up for a surgery party. As most of you know, Rustin is very very hard working and busy. The sitting around the house was killing him, but everytime he even tried to step on his ankle, it hurt something awful. Also everytime he stood up or didn't have it elevated, his toes would go numb and cold. Being a nurse and also having that gift called...COMMON SENSE....I knew that wasn't normal and I called the doctor's office again and reported what was going on. The receptionist told me what I was describing was normal and to just keep him going on the Motrin (a.k.a Ibuprofen). We did that and the only thing that changed was Rustin's mood-more frustrated! So to make a very long story a little shorter, we are at my mom and dad's at this time and a doctor looked at the x-rays and said in his medical terms, "that ankle is jacked up." Now for those of you who don't speak doctor, that means he has a Tailor Dome Fracture. It's the bone, I think from what we looked up, that supports weight. So we get to have surgery!! I am not kidding. For those of you who know how crazy our lives have been lately this just fits PERFECTLY. I don't know what Heavenly Father is trying to teach us, but I wish we would catch on some time in the very very near future (in about one minute to be exact). But we'll keep our shoulder to the wheel and push along. We'll do our duty with a heart full of song. I guess we all have work so noone sherk....does anyone know what sherk means??? If you look it up in the dictionary, I'm sure you'll see a big ol' picture of my face. I keep on pushin, but life just keeps on pushin back....As you can tell by the time this is posted, I have insomnia too...woo hoo

Hey guys! Well, at least Rustin can get the surgery and start to feel better. I'm sure he is going nuts laying around. As for you Sarah... I love you! I just wanted to tell you that. I just love you, and... the Lord is going to teach you to see your AMAZING self through his eyes. Because that is what you are.... AMAZING (and if I could make the font size of this bigger that word would be HUGE!!!) Rustin is pretty blasted amazing too. See... you are guys just make this perfect little amazing couple. You guys even go out of commission at the same time. It is hard to see through all the bluster of life and find the light, but it's always there, sometimes our "eyes" just lose focus and we can't see it. It's like looking at a star in the sky... if you look right at, or try to look right at it it's hard to see, but if you look a little to the left... it's bright and shiny and very clear.
Thanks SO much for the update. I have been worried sick! I have tried calling and even stopped by your house yesterday. It is such a relief to know that you are ok (relatively speaking). Let me know when you get back. I would LOVE to watch your kids or do anything I can to help laundry...cleaning...cooking...anything! We will miss you at work. Hopefully your time off is just what you need. You and your cute family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Lots of Love Sarah.
I hope you keep pushing along. I hope life can slow down for a little and you can appreciate what is around you. Lots of Love.
Oh man talk about drama! So are you still up north? how long? If you ever wanna go on a date let me know and i will watch your kid...for free of course:)
I can't believe how much you have going on! You make me laugh so hard. In spite of all the drama you always have the best sense of humor. I hope you guys are doing okay and that you haven't sherked! Will you email me your email address? I want to "invite" you to read our blog. We have a private one. curious_georges@hotmail.com

Hey Sarah it's Allison. I was at work in the back nursery and was looking up something on line and found your blog. Anyhow I hope you are doing ok. Bummer about Rustin's surgery, that is never fun. So I'm working full-time until this baby comes (Caralee offered me health insurance if I'd pick up full-time and with a baby on the way - who could turn it down!) There are tons of shifts available so it made it nice to pick up exactly what days (and nights) I wanted too. I'm not sure if you heard that Amanda left (she took a job in St. George since they are living there now) and Stacey moved to Portland - her last night is the 7th, and Jamie is moving to Richfield the beginning of Sept. (or after her house sells), Susan is dropping down to prn in Sept and then retiring at the end of year. Needless to say it's been a crazy summer. Anyhow pop on over to our blog if you are ever bored. (danandalliralphs.blogspot.com) Good luck with everything!! love, Allison
I'm guessing that the surgery has already happened, and Rustin probably cut the cast off, or didn't wear his brace and went to work already. I just wanted to say hello, ruffle Rustins hair... and give him and atta boy. Sarah, there is nobody better to take care of him. Good job.
Take care
Trevor
