Don't judge a book by its "cough"er!!

So we had a day with nothing to do (you know besides cleaning, dishes, and laundry) so I decided to take both the kids to the library. Yes-BOTH BY MYSELF!! I just thought it would be a nice thing to do and I was going stir crazy that's all....oh yeah and must have been out of my mind!!! The kids have been sick with colds for the past two weeks and we have had more than our share of boogers and coughs. I dosed them with the ever effective Tylenol and off we went. We enter and I take them to the kids section immediately and let them walk around. I haven't been in a library for a while so I quickly reminded them that we have to talk quietly in a place like this. To them it translated to this: "Dear loving children from my womb, use the mighty voices that I have given you freely and willingly!" They did. The books are chosen and I selfishly wanted to get one for myself. So I visit the computer and this is when they realize that the table it is sitting on works perfect as a chasing post. They start chasing each other around and around the table and Bubba decides to hit his cheek on the shelf of the table. Oh Goody!! WAAAAAHHHH!!!

Well that starts the lung irritation...remember cough and boogers, cough and boogers. I go to the shelves and start looking for my book. The kids decide to play switcheroo with the chairs that are at the end of each aisle. Lung irritation is at full capacity and the irritation is now very audible. I have had enough and we are headed to the desk (Do not pass go do not collect $200!!). We get to the desk to check out and the little old lady notices my cough volcanos are spewing their contagious lava everywhere. She says, "Oh dear, are they sick?" No- we just smoked a pack out back-OF COURSE THEY'RE SICK!!! She points out the tissues and I grab a handful and chuck them at the kids with the look that could freeze lava (I wish!). She starts telling me the funny "Better or for Worse" comic strip she has been reading about a sick boy and how he is spreading to everyone. She has beautiful background music as my kids keep hacking away (Bubba's coughs-real and Sariah's coughs-so fake I handed her the emmy right there). When we got in the car I told them that when kids cough like that they get kicked out and are put in the sick room where the library doctor gives them shots! I know, I seriously said that- felt a little bad. The library lady told me that I hadn't been to the library for a year and a half! I bet she wished I would have gone for two...

Sariah posing with her funny Llama book. It is a pretty cute book that a patient told me about a couple weeks ago.

I am not really sure what Bubba ate to make himself look so manly. But here are my stinkin cute kids that I really love quite a lot.

Here's Bubba posing in Dad's boots-CUTE!!

Sariah taking another picture of me and Bubba. Notice how Bubba's fingers are on my ears, he does this to me when he falls asleep too.

That is so funny. Sounds like my experience at the library. Sarabeth goes every week to story time and she is so loud. All the Mothers turn and look at me. I tell her to talk more quiet but that makes things worse.

Hahahaha... OH MAN!!! (Deep breath) That was HIL-ARIOUS!!! I can imagine it. I even read it twice, so I could have twice the laugh, then I ran to the bathroom (the downfall of laughing so hard). Sarah... I love you! I can always count on you for a good laugh! Thanks Pres!!!
Love, the Vice-Pres!

You are such a good writer! I love you and your kids. Don't you love the librarians there! It's like, "just scan the stupid books and save me!"
The picture of you and Bubba is beautiful. You look great! You are a terrific mom, love your smiling face and outlook!
